Terry McDermott

Terry is a former first round draft pick and professional baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Signed as a catcher right out of high school, Terry spent eight seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers, which in addition to Los Angeles, included stop in Albuquerque where he finished his baseball career.

After baseball Terry entered television where he became an eight- time New Mexico Sportscaster of the Year award winner with KGGM-TV and KOAT-TV. You might remember his “I Challenge Terry” or NFL Zoopicks features. Terry eventually left television to become a media and government affairs director at Intel Corporation. While with Intel Terry also served as president of the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Rio Rancho Economic Development Corporation Board. Terry has spent the last nine years with the USDA and is currently the Community Economic Developer for the New Mexico Rural Development office.

Terry and his wife of 46 years have four grown children who are educated, married, and out of the house. They have one grandchild, so far.
